Privacy Notice

Effective 12 October 2026.

Who we are

MinQi is owned and operated by Safari Entelligence Ltd, registered with Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (RC 9605954). “MinQi”, “we” and “us” refer to Safari Entelligence Ltd as the provider of the MinQi app and this website. Contact address: Diye Zarmaganda, Jos South, Plateau State, Nigeria. Privacy contact: admin@minqi.app.

What this notice covers

This notice covers this website and the MinQi public launch list. MinQi is being built and is not yet available. The MinQi app will have its own privacy notice, published before anyone, including private testers, can use it. Private testing is a separate programme and is not covered by the launch list.

Visiting this website

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not set cookies. Our website host, Render, receives the technical details every web request carries, such as your IP address, the page requested and the time, and uses them to deliver the site. Our website server does not log individual visits. Render may keep its own records of these requests. Depending on our Render plan, Render may show us request logs, which it keeps for up to 30 days.

The launch list

Current status. The launch-list form on this site is connected to Brevo as described below.

The launch list is for MinQi launch updates by email. It is managed by Brevo, our email provider, which stores the list and sends launch-list emails on our behalf. We decide how the list is used; Brevo processes it for us.

The launch list uses double opt-in. When you submit the form, we ask Brevo to send a confirmation email to the address you entered. Your address is added to the launch list only after you open that email and confirm. If you do not confirm, you are not added to the list.

When the launch list is connected, the website sends Brevo only:

  • the email address you enter;
  • the time you submitted the form;
  • the version of the consent wording shown with the form;
  • which confirmation email we send you (its template number and version label);
  • which of the page’s launch-list forms you used;
  • limited campaign information from the link you used, if present (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and a short referral code).

Before sending, the website asks Brevo whether it already holds a record for your address, and checks Brevo’s records of addresses that should not receive our emails (see “Blocked addresses” below). If Brevo has no record for your address, the time, consent-wording version and confirmation-email version of this sign-up are also stored separately, so that a request made after you have joined does not change them. None of these answers is shown to you.

The website does not send Brevo your IP address or browser details, and the website itself does not save your address to a file or database. To limit repeated requests for the same address, the website server keeps a one-way hash of the address in its memory; this is not written to disk and is discarded when the server restarts.

Why we use it. We use this information only to send you MinQi launch updates, based on the consent you give with the form and confirm by email. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing; this does not affect emails sent before you did so. We do not ask for your name, country or other profile details.

Email tracking. The HTML version of our confirmation email contains a small image that can indicate when it is loaded. Its confirmation button and its Privacy Notice link pass through Brevo tracking links before reaching their destinations. An email provider may load the image through its own proxy, so an image load does not necessarily show that a person opened the email. If you block images, that can prevent image-based tracking, but clicking a tracked link can still be recorded. We use the available information to understand use of the confirmation link. Tracking in future launch-list emails will be described here according to how those emails are configured.

Where Brevo processes data. Brevo states that its hosting servers are located in the European Union (OVH in France and Germany, and Google Cloud in Belgium). Brevo’s data-processing terms list further service providers it uses, some of them outside the European Union, with transfer safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Age. The launch list is only for people aged 18 or over, and the form asks you to confirm that you are. We do not verify ages. If you believe someone under 18 has joined, email admin@minqi.app and we will remove that address from the launch list.

How long we keep launch-list information

We keep your email address and the sign-up details listed above while the MinQi launch list is active. We review the list at least every 12 months and delete addresses we no longer need. Our email provider’s sending logs, which record each confirmation email and keep a copy of it, are deleted six months after the email is sent.

If you do not confirm your sign-up, you are not added to the launch list: in our tests, our email provider created no contact for an address until its confirmation link was clicked. The confirmation email itself is in the sending logs above. Our tests also indicate that our email provider holds the details of an unconfirmed request separately, so that it can add you if you confirm later. Our email provider does not document how long it keeps those details, or when an unused confirmation link expires, for the confirmation method we use.

Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe at any time, and we will stop sending you launch-list emails. Unsubscribing does not delete every record: our email provider keeps your address with a record that you unsubscribed, so that you are not emailed again by mistake. If you want your information deleted, ask us as described below.

Blocked addresses

If our email provider has recorded that your address unsubscribed from, bounced or complained about emails from MinQi’s sending address, or that we blocked it, our website does not send it a new confirmation email, even if someone enters it on our form, and before each launch-list email we apply that record to the launch list. To start receiving launch updates again, email admin@minqi.app from that address; we will check the request and ask you to sign up again.

Asking us to delete your information

Email admin@minqi.app. We will delete your contact record from the launch list, including its sign-up details. Our email provider states that this also removes any block recorded on that contact.

Our email provider keeps two other kinds of record separately from your contact record: its sending logs (deleted six months after each email in any case) and its list of addresses blocked from our emails. Deleting your contact record does not necessarily remove those. When we reply, we will tell you which records we have deleted, which remain and why. If no block remains on your address and anyone enters it on our form again, you could receive a new confirmation email.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the launch-list information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email admin@minqi.app.

We will respond to your request promptly and within 30 calendar days of receiving it, or sooner where applicable law requires. Our response will give you the information you asked for, confirm what we have done, or explain the outcome, including any records that remain and why.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights, including complaining to another data-protection authority.

Changes to this notice

If we change how the website or the launch list uses your information, we will update this notice and its date before the change takes effect.
